'Smart and cosmopolitan, Santa Eulalia has thriving restaurants, stylish shops and an inviting sandy beach – no wonder many guests choose to live here all year round!'
On the south coast of Ibiza, Santa Eulalia is the island's third largest resort, but still manages to move at a relaxing pace – you won't find loud nightclubs or all night parties here. What you will find is a resort with a certain easy sophistication – great restaurants, art galleries and fashionable boutiques all adding to the mood. During the day, there's plenty going on along the palm shaded promenade which runs the length of the beach. Lined with cafes and restaurants, this is the place for a chat in the sun over a cappuccino or a glass of chilled wine. Down on the broad, sandy, gently shelving beach there are all sorts of watersports to tempt you into the sea. In the evening, you might head for the street affectionately nicknamed 'Tapas Street' by the locals – here you can enjoy authentic Spanish cuisine at the many good local restaurants, and while away the evening amidst good conversation. The Ramblas is Santa Eulalia's main square, and this is where you'll find the famous hippy market every day except Sunday. It's a great place to buy colourful souvenirs, handmade gifts and local pottery to take home. Otherwise you might catch a boat trip to a nearby island for a day of fun on the white sand beach, or walk along the coast to Es Cana and catch the ferry back. Perhaps the most memorable view of Santa Eulalia is the one you see as you arrive from Ibiza Town – the imposing 16th century church presiding over the town from the top of the hill – arrive at night and the whole scene is floodlit providing you with a picture postcard memory of this popular resort.

Santa Eulalia has more places to eat, large and small, than you'd expect in a town of its size. Take a seat at one of the cafes and while away a few lazy hours over coffee and Ibicencan cheesecake. Visit the street the locals call the Tapas Street - this is the place to sample authentic Spanish food. Try Gazpacho: a spicy soup made with tomatoes, green peppers, garlic, onions and cucumber.
The style is quality rather than quantity. The writers and artists who established Santa Eulalia as a colony for foreigners have left a legacy of cafes, bars and restaurants rather than nightclubs and discos, of chat rather than song.
Throughout the summer there's a hippy market in the main square - the Ramblas - every day except Sunday. A unique part of Ibicencan culture, it's the ideal place to browse for gifts and souvenirs. Look out for Ibicencan pottery.
There's a relaxing boat trip to a nearby island which lets you top up your tan while the island's east coast drifts by. Wade the short distance from the anchored boat to the dazzling white beach and enjoy a day of games and champagne diving.
